Oak Town Fairy Elf Guard (Light & Medium Skin Versions) **Lazy Monster Studio – 1/12… ish Scale Review**

Image: A rectangular box with a dark background featuring abstract, leafy green and yellow patterns. In the center, there is white text. Two "Lazy Monster" logos are present—one on the left edge and another in the bottom right corner. The overall design gives a vibrant, jungle-like appearance.

Lazy Monster Studio stepping into the 1/12 arena for the first time is a bit like watching a newcomer walk into the dojo and casually throw down with the veterans. These Oak Town Fairy Elf Guards aren’t just “pretty good for a first try”—they’re **surprisingly confident**, ambitious, and in many ways *right up there* with what BossFight Studios has been putting out.

Image: A box insert with a printed illustration depicting an elegant, sunlit hall or gallery. The scene features tall archways with round and oval windows, through which blue sky and clouds are visible. Sunbeams cast shadows on the floor, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The pillars and arches are decorated with green foliage and arrangements of colorful flowers and fruit, enhancing the grand and fantasy-like setting. The insert has folding flaps on each side, likely to fit into or form part of the box’s structure.

And yes, I say 1/12 with a raised eyebrow, because at nearly **7 inches tall**, these ladies feel closer to **1/10 scale**. Think Mythic Legions, McFarlane-adjacent, or even brushing shoulders with Marvel Legends She-Hulk. These are not dainty pixie elves. These are **Amazonian forest enforcers** who absolutely look like they bench-press fallen logs between patrols.

Image: Two articulated action figures posed in front of illustrated backgrounds. The figure in the foreground is a fantasy elf-like female with orange hair in a ponytail, pointed ears, a black bikini-style top, and a blue armored skirt. She is holding a long, ornate silver sword and appears to be in a dynamic, ready-for-battle stance.

Behind her, there is another action figure of a green-skinned female with black hair, wearing a purple and white outfit. She is posed with her arms raised as if she is about to engage in a fight.

### First Impressions & Sculpt

Let’s get this out of the way:

These figures are **hand candy**. Thick, toned, confident silhouettes with enough muscle and curve to sell them as real warrior women rather than fragile fantasy decorations.

Image: Two elf warrior action figures in blue armor, posed dynamically for comparison. The foreground figure is positioned in an assertive stance, showcasing her long, slender limbs, fair skin, pointed ears, and orange hair in a high ponytail. She wears ornate blue and silver armor with intricate details, including shoulder plates, bracers, and a skirt made of overlapping armored plates. Her midriff is exposed, and she holds two silver swords, emphasizing both agility and readiness for battle. Her facial features are delicate and expressive, highlighting a fantasy beauty with a fierce edge.

In the background, another elf warrior figure is visible, similar in build and attire but posed crouched and farther away, which makes her appear slightly smaller. Both figures share the same style of elf-like elegance, with the focus on lithe, athletic bodies and beautiful, stylized armor. The overall visual suggests a comparison in pose, detail, and dynamic presentation between nearly identical figures. The background features fantasy forest scenery, enhancing the mystical atmosphere.

* Arms and lower legs are a bit on the scrawny side

* Everything else? **Strong, thick, and unapologetic**

* Broad shoulders, powerful thighs, generous chest—more *Amazon guard* than *fairy waif*

Image: A female elf action figure is displayed from the back, emphasizing her curves and build. She is posed with one hand resting on her hip and the other relaxed, highlighting her shapely, rounded hips and well-defined waist. She is wearing only a black bikini-style bottom, which draws attention to her toned, sculpted legs and the fullness of her hips and buttocks. Her back is slender, with visible articulation points, and her orange hair is styled in a high ponytail. The overall posture and minimal outfit accentuate her hourglass figure and feminine curves, giving the scene a playful and confident vibe.

[

]

Ironically, the thickness makes them feel less “fairy” and more “don’t start trouble in my forest.” And honestly? I’m not mad about that at all.

Image: In this scene, Wonder Woman stands between two fantasy elf warrior figures:

- Wonder Woman’s build is athletic and powerful, with broad shoulders, a defined waist, and confident posture. Her costume’s vibrant primary colors and heroic style set her apart from the elves’ more delicate fantasy armor.
- Both elf figures, with their slender, curvy physiques, long flowing hair, and pointed ears, contrast Wonder Woman’s more robust, traditionally heroic silhouette. Their bright blue armor skirts, bikini-style tops, and dynamic stances highlight a lithe and enchanting fantasy beauty.

The comparison highlights the difference between Wonder Woman’s physical power and superhero presence with the elves’ fantasy-styled, elegant forms. The combination of all three creates a visually striking scene of contrasting builds and heroic beauty.

### Accessories & Value (Where These Really Flex)

Image: Pieces of segmented blue armor laid out on a flat surface, likely designed for an action figure. The armor has a metallic blue finish with silver accents and intricate sculpted details. The parts include what appears to be a chest plate, shoulder guards, arm or wrist guards, a skirt or waist armor piece, and armor for the legs and knees. The arrangement is illuminated with strong, cool-toned lighting, casting deep shadows and giving the pieces a striking, high-contrast appearance. The armor pieces are ornate and seem to belong to a fantasy or elven warrior figure, matching previous images of a blue-armored elf action figure.

[

]

At **$60 USD**, these figures are an *absolute steal*.

At **$90 USD**, they’re… fine. Still good, but not quite the no-brainer they are at the lower price.

Here’s what you get:

* Fully removable armor

* **An entire extra torso** (yes, whole torso)

Image: Two interchangeable torso pieces for an action figure are shown lying on a flat surface under dramatic lighting with blue and purple tones.

The top piece is sculpted to represent a female upper body with a defined waist, curvy bust, and a black bikini-style top painted onto it. The surface is smooth and detailed to suggest the contours of the chest and midriff.

The bottom piece is another sculpted torso in a similar shape, also representing a female form but without any clothing painted on. Both pieces have peg connectors, indicating they are meant to attach to the rest of the action figure’s body for customization.

[

]

* Over **four weapons** (two swords, bow, quiver, staff)

Image: A detailed blue and silver quiver filled with arrows and an ornate silver bow are shown on a flat surface under cool blue lighting. The quiver is slim with sculpted details, featuring a blue body and silver accents, with the arrow tips protruding from the top. The bow is elaborately designed, with sweeping, wing-like details and curled ornamentation, giving it a fantasy or elven appearance.

[

]

* Alternate heads, hair, and **four pairs of hands**

Image: Three interchangeable parts for an action figure, all under dramatic blue lighting. At the top left, there is a head with red hair styled in a bob cut and pointed elf ears, featuring delicate facial features and a calm expression. Below that, there is another head with bright blue braided hair and matching elf ears, with a similarly styled face. At the bottom is a separate ponytailed hairpiece in light brown, designed for swapping onto one of the heads. These pieces add customization options for the fantasy elf figure, allowing for different looks and expressions.

[

]

* Bare feet AND booted feet

Image: Four interchangeable feet for an action figure are arranged in two pairs on a flat surface under blue lighting. The pair on the left are bare feet, sculpted with toes and natural details. The pair on the right are armored feet or boots, painted in metallic blue with silver accents, designed to match the fantasy armor seen in previous images. These pieces provide the option to display the figure with either bare feet or armored boots.

[

]

* Belt accessories like pouches, waterskins…

* …and yes, **one single banana** 🍌 (we’ll talk about that)

Image: Several small action figure accessories laid out on a light surface. There are five blue pieces that resemble various pouches, satchels, and belt accessories with visible straps and buckles, all painted with a weathered effect. At the center is a small black item that looks like an armored or gloved hand. To the right is a tiny yellow-and-green banana accessory, adding a whimsical touch to the collection of parts.

[

]

Not many $60 figures give you this much plastic, modularity, and customization. You’re basically one extra limb set away from having *two* figures in one box.

Image: A set of interchangeable hands for an action figure, arranged on two plastic sprues. Each sprue holds six hands sculpted in various poses, such as open hands, gripping hands, and gesture hands (including a pointing finger and a peace sign). The hands are flesh-toned, matching the color seen on previous elf or fantasy-themed figures, and are designed for easy swapping to customize the figure’s pose and expression. The dramatic blue lighting gives the scene a stylized look and strong shadows.

### The Belt Accessories: Cool Idea, Poor Execution

The little belt-hanging items are a great concept… but they’re **frustrating in practice**.

* They don’t stay on well

* The hooks are fragile

* They fall off, disappear, and occasionally break

Seriously, toy companies: **just use peg systems**.

Harvinger Studios (Savage Crucible) and Big Bad Workshop (Operation: Monster Force) already cracked this code. Tiny hooks are annoying, breakable, and actively hostile to collectors.

Image: Action figure of a female warrior in blue and silver armor, posed dynamically as if she is ready for battle. She has orange hair tied back and is holding a sword in front of her in both hands. Behind her is another similar action figure with red hair, also dressed in blue and silver armor, standing in a different pose. The background features fantasy-style artwork: a vibrant, colorful tree scene on the left and a darker, forest scene below.

[

]

And about that banana…

Look, I’m sure elves need potassium. But when you include:

* A fully strip-able, busty warrior woman

* One lone banana

* Zero context

…you’re basically daring collectors’ minds to wander into very dark, very silly gutters. I didn’t go there—but you know some people did.

Image: Articulated female action figure with orange hair in a ponytail, posed upside down with legs and arms spread in different angles. The figure is wearing only black underwear, and is attached to a clear plastic stand for support.

### Articulation: Ambitious, But Tricky

On paper, articulation is impressive. In reality, it’s **temperamental**.

**The Good:**

* Double-jointed elbows and knees

* Ball-jointed neck and chest

* Toe joints

* Removable armor helps range of motion

Image: Action figure diorama scene. The image shows a close-up of an articulated female action figure dressed in silver armor with blue accents and a matching skirt, posed in an action stance as if about to shoot a bow. She has red hair and a quiver with arrows on her back. In the background, there's another identical figure, somewhat out of focus, against backdrop panels featuring fantasy-style forest artwork.

[

]

**The Not-So-Good:**

* **No waist articulation**, which hurts dynamic posing

* Bare feet have **no peg holes** (why??) while booted feet do

* Ankle and toe joints are a little loose

Image: Back view of a female action figure. The figure is dressed in silver and blue armor and has long red hair. On her back, she carries two detailed silver swords crossed in an X-shape, as well as a blue sheathed weapon on her hip and a quiver of arrows on the other side. Her stance is dynamic, with her arms and legs positioned as if she is in action. In the background, there is another similarly dressed action figure blurred by the focus, and fantasy forest art panels create a dramatic diorama setting. Bright lights illuminate the scene from the right side of the image.

[

]

Combine:

* Big chest

* Thick hips

* Skinny legs

* Loose ankles

…and these ladies can **lean and sag like drunken sailors** if you don’t get their balance just right. Add weapons and armor, and posing becomes a patience test.

Image: Articulated female action figure with orange hair and elf-like pointed ears. The figure is mostly unclothed except for black underwear, and is posed dynamically on a clear plastic stand with legs bent upwards and arms extended, giving the impression of acrobatic movement or floating.

### Handling & QC Warnings (Read This Before You Customize)

A few important survival tips:

* **Warm up the parts first** (hair dryer, warm water)

  * I snapped both shoulder pauldron ball joints removing them cold 😩

* These figures are **lubed to the gills inside the joints**

Image: Articulated female action figure with long orange hair and pointed elf-like ears, mounted on a clear plastic stand. The figure is wearing only black underwear and is posed in a reclining or stretching position, facing upwards with one hand on her chest and the other at her side. Her legs are extended backward.

[

]

  * Oil everywhere

  * Constant hand-washing while swapping parts

* Expect some paint rub and factory scuffs

* Belt hooks and small accessories are fragile

This isn’t a “carefree fidget figure.” It’s a **sit-down, focused customization experience**.

Image: Action figure of a female character with orange hair and pointed elf-like ears, posed dynamically on a clear plastic stand as if in mid-air or leaping. She is now fully dressed in silver and blue armor, including a chest plate, arm guards, skirt, and boots. The figure also carries a sword and scabbard on her back. The background consists of colorful fantasy artwork depicting mountainous terrain and a forest.

### Army Building Reality Check

Even at $60, these are still expensive troop builders.

Unnamed guards *beg* to be bought in multiples—but that adds up fast.

You *can* army build them.

Just know your wallet will feel it.

Image: Two female action figures in fantasy armor posed to face each other in a dramatic scene. The figure on the left has red hair and is dressed in silver armor with blue accents, holding a bow in an action-ready stance, with a quiver of arrows on her back. The figure on the right has long orange hair in a ponytail and elf-like pointed ears, wearing blue and silver armor with a sword at her side. Both figures are posed as if about to engage or interact, with the background showing a fantasy-themed scene of mountains, green trees, and a twilight forest. The setup is brightly illuminated by a ring light on the right side of the image.

### Final Verdict

Flaws and all?

These Oak Town Fairy Elf Guards are **a strong, confident debut** from Lazy Monster Studio.

Image: Two fantasy action figures posed in a diorama setting. The foreground features a female figure with red hair, dressed in silver and blue armor with intricate details, holding a large bow. She stands ready, as if in an alert or battle stance. Behind her, another striking figure with lavender-purple skin, long blue hair, and wearing brown-gold armor and a loincloth is posed aiming a large bow. This figure has a mystical or night elf appearance, with pointed ears, a serious facial expression, and is adorned with green and gold accents.

[

]

They’re:

* Gorgeous on the shelf

* Packed with accessories

* Fun to customize

* Frustrating at times

* And absolutely worth it **at the right price**

Image: Two fantasy action figures posed as if engaging in battle. The figure in front has orange hair tied in a ponytail and elf-like pointed ears. She is wearing a black bikini-style top, a blue armored skirt, and is holding two swords crossed in front of her. She also has additional swords sheathed at her waist.

Behind her, another female action figure is partially visible. This one has blue hair, is equipped with a horned helmet and is clothed in black and silver armor, including armored boots, arm guards, and a bikini-style top. She is wielding a sword prepared for combat.

[

]

They may not be perfect, but for a first swing in this scale, Lazy Monster Studio landed a solid hit—and I’m genuinely curious to see where they go next.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to gently re-pose these thick forest queens and remind myself why I don’t rush articulation-heavy figures. 😌🌿

Image: Two action figures in dynamic poses on a fantasy diorama background. The figure in the foreground is a female with orange hair styled in a ponytail, elf-like pointed ears, wearing a black bikini-like top, blue armored skirt, and holding two swords in a defensive position. Her stance is crouched as if preparing for an attack or to defend herself.

Behind her stands another female action figure with bright orange hair, wearing dark blue and black armor with angular details and pointed boots. She is posed dramatically, with her mouth open in a battle shout, and is lifting a large blue-bladed sword high above her head, ready to strike. Her armor covers more of her body, especially on the legs and arms.
